Keeping you up to date
This page is dedicated to keeping you updated with the most current information as it relates to our building, ministry work and faith community.
Our world changed on Saturday, March 21st when Governor J.B. Pritzker's Shelter-in Place directive went into effect. On Sunday, March 22nd, Pastor Jen, Pastor Robin and Pastor blessed us with our first online worship service. Throughout Holy Week, on Easter and every Sunday to date, they have created meaningful worship services, home practices and an online community where they Share the Love of Christ with us.
Our staff works from home and checks voicemail messages, emails and picks up mail daily. Our food pantry ministry is intact amid social distancing and adhering to CDC guidelines. We have been working to meet the growing needs in a community where unemployment, closed businesses and food insecurity grow as the days pass. Together we have moved from serving 207 households a week to 300+ households a week.
In a time where information changes seemingly within the hour, Pastor Jen has consistently communicated how the COVID-19 Crisis impacts us. All of her written and video updates follow.
